NCFE Diploma in Customer Service

Course Overview

Customer service is a role where you provide services and advice to customers who buy your products, use your services and/or are potential customers. The Diploma in Customer Service is designed for those who are interested or are already working in a customer service related role. It is also ideal for those who just want to develop knowledge of this area prior to commencing employment.

It gives students the opportunity to develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning through the development of personal, learning and thinking skills. After achieving the qualification students can continue their studies to college or secure a job in customer service or related fields.

Qualification

This qualification is offered at the available levels:

  • NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service (Apprenticeship)
  • NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service (19+ Advanced Learner Loan or private learner)

Duration

For NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Customer, which is only offered as an Apprenticeship, this is a 1-year course, minimum. Classes will be held once a week in a classroom-based environment with proper teaching facilities and equipment.

For NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service, this is a 6-month course, minimum. Classes will be held twice a week in a classroom-based environment with proper teaching facilities and equipment.

Course Content

Within this qualification you will study subjects such as: preparation work experience opportunities; manage personal performance and development; communicating with others in the workplace etc.

For Level 2, this will also include in-class learning

Maths and English

All students following a full-time programme of study at Polino will study English and maths as part of their studies, please refer to the Study programme page of this website.

Entry Requirements

At Level 1, no formal entry qualifications are required

At Level 2, four GCSEs at grade E (grade 2) or above (to include maths and English), or successful completion of any suitable Level 1 qualification (e.g. Level 1 Certificate in Developing Enterprise Skills)

All applicants will undergo an initial assessment in literacy and numeracy.

Places will be offered following a satisfactory interview. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the chosen subject area.

  • junior/apprentice personal assistant - to those responsible for an organisation's overall customer-service strategy - analysing customer feedback and planning improvements. Access to apprenticeships.

Course fee

Aged 16 - 18 years: There are no tuition or exam fees

Aged 19 years or over: Tuition Fee £1200 | Materials Fee £120 | Registration/Exam Fee £150
